rash is killing me - Lyme Disease Message Board

My medicine im on is helping alot. Im actually able to get up and do things. However my rash is killing me. It like "faded away"...but like randomly this "boil" lokoing thing pops up and itchs to high heaven. And to make it worse the tick had to bite me right on my groin! so its uggh killing me. Any recommendations on what to do? I'm trying to keep it dry as best i can. Diaper rash cream and babypowder is what im using. What else? Thanks everyone hope everyones feeling better!

Hi.

I think I mentioned it before, but you and I have the exact same rash. Mine is on my right shin.

I have tried everything, and I mean everything, to stop the itching. Once I even scratched the heck out it till it bled, sat on the side of the tub and poured alcohol on it.

Sorry to say I have found nothing that works.

Now, mine comes and goes at intervals as I go through cycles of Herx'ing (die off). I try to remind myself that it's a good thing because it means the stupid bacteria are dying!!

yea mine comes and goes.

im hoping its just herxing. and im getting rid of all this crap.
