does mri detect Lyme - Lyme Disease Message Board

Hi everyone:
I know I have lyme. I have about 50 of the symptoms and have had it for about 2 years now. My family dr. treated me with doxy for 4 weeks and said thats how long I am suppose to be on it for treatment. Needless to say it hardly toushed the symptoms, my slurred speech improved slightly. I recently went to my 2nd neurologist, the first one said "depression" what a joke. This second one wouldnt even listen to my syptoms and said "depression" he diagnosed me within 5 mins with doing no testing what a jerk! I asked him about Lyme he spelled it lime, maybe he was the cleanoing man,lol, he said it would have shown up on my mri if it was lyme, no where that i have read says that, even mt gp said lyme is a bacteria and its in the blood thats why it affects so many organs so it doesnt show up on an mri or anything else, PLEASE HELP!

Maybe print out this from Dr Burrascano for him to read. If he dismisses it out of hand, call him a narrow-minded twit and find another doc...
