hello all,

i have been considering i have lyme however i am experiencing extreme bowel pain. my doc has put me on doxy and things are getting worse more pain and stinging in my bowel up my spine i have been screaming from the pain tonight. i am a neuro mess and see a neuro on monday. any feedback im desperate.

Hi zoe. Very sorry to hear you are going through this trouble, I hope you are able to get some answers about why you have this pain. Maybe your doctor will check you for intestinal parasites too, I don't know why you have bowel pain. How long has it been?

Sorry to hear about the pain. Maybe it's time to give your doctor a call and describe what you're going through?

I haven't had a reaction to any drugs that I've taken, but I wonder if you're reacting to the doxy? I wish I had an answer.

If the pain is too much, perhaps your doctor will tell you to stop the drug and switch you to something else or lower your dose.

Are you detoxing? Drinking water, taking detox baths, etc?

I had one drug I was on that made me vomit all the time. My LLMD said it was caused by overload of toxins.

I had bad neuro symptoms. Since begining treatment I do feel much better mentally. So hang in there, Ok?

i take a probiotic called theralac which you order over the net it is a heavy duty one and has greatly improved the stinging in my bowels i had a left hemicolectomy two years ago from perferated bowel disease from diverticulitis infection then an extreme infection after the surgery that put me in the hospital for 37 days total the iv antibiotics burned out the good germs in my intestines and evry day i was in terrible pain like you ate a red hot chili pepper and it was on its way out with cramping and burning and an awful feeling i took colestraylamine for about a year and when this lyme stuff came up in aug the lyme dr told me about the theralac and i have been pain free ever since my best friend before the theralac was a sitts bath i dont know you might want ot give a look and talk to your dr about it

Hi ryebeach,

I was wondering about the Theralac. How many capsules do you take per day to relieve the pain?

If you stop taking Theralac, does the pain return?

Are you off antibiotics now?
