Update
So I saw my LLMD today. He ordered me to double my IV Rocephin intake from 2 grams to 4 grams. Now I have an IV for breakfast and an IV for dinner. Were going to do this two weeks and then throw in some Flagyl for good measure. Hope I don't OD on all this Rocephin. Anyone ever here of Flagyl and if it's a good drug for Lyme?

Hi BigStan,

I'm am on Flagyl (along with another antibiotic), my understanding is that Flagyl helps fight the cyst form of the lyme bacteria. You need to know that you should not ingest any alcohol when on Flagyl.

Hi Stan. Flagyl can be effective. Some people have intense herxes, so be prepared. Tracy is right about the alcohol. You cannot have any alcohol, including what is in mouthwash etc. or it can make you very sick.
