I feel the same alot of days... I'm on biaxin. And i force myself to do things when im sick. I force myself just enough to where i know if i do anymore i'll do sick. By doin this i can tell it gives me alil more energy and makes me feel alil better. I notice the more im able to do the better i "mentally" feel. If that makes since. I know i was bedridden for 2 years...just walking outside after all that was like heaven.
I'm not yet in treatment my first appt. with LLMD is set for Sept.20th,he's an infectious disease doctor in Alpheretta,Ga.( Dr.A.P.) they say he's an LLMD I only hope so!!! I'd hate to waste more time going to a doctor just to tell me nothing is wrong, when I'm literally dying!!! I have not had my thyroid checked nor have I had an adrenal test done nor my B-12 level checked. I can only hope this new doctor knows what to check for!!!!!!!!grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yes, definately get your adrenals and thyroid checked. That was among the first tests the doctor did on me. I had an almost non existant TSH and very low T4Free. He said it was because my pitutary was not sending the message that I needed the thyroid hormone. Also my cortisol was about 1/2 of the low normal. I had to go on cortef also because my levels were too low. I am also on all my abx for Lyme and Bartonella. After almost 3 years I am finally making my way back.
Fatigue was my very worse symptom. There were days when I thought I was going to die from it. It is an undescribable exhaustion. I wasn't sleepy just totally body exhaustion. It is taken a long time but at least now it is 50 percent better in only 10 months. Good luck. Bring a list with you to the appointment and demand these tests if he doesn't mention them. Lyme has a huge impact on the pitutary glands and mine are very dysfunctional from the infection.
