my son woke up screaming in pain

this is very unlike him. he is usually very tough, a wrestler, concussion, broken noses, sprains etc, and never once yelled out. so he must have been in a lot of pain. it seemed to me like a charlie horse in the calf. it went away in a few minutes. I gave him a mineral supplement with calcium/magnesium, vitD.
could this be related to the lyem? he also has a circular rash on his thigh, no bullseye, solid. he says its a scar from "sliding" playing soccer. he has dark skin, so its hard for me to tell, it just looks darker brown than the rest of his skin.
maybe I am just over-worrying.

for those who don't know, he was just diagnosed, see my other thread "my worst fear"

Re: my son woke up screaming in pain

You might try having him eat some bananas. Sometimes, low potassium can cause charlie horses...especially if the person is very athletic. I'm sure the Lyme is playing a part as well. I get charlie horses in the muscles around my joints sometimes...they hurt!!!

I'm so sorry that you and your son are having to go through this. I hope that he'll have a speedy recovery.
