She doesn't really show any signs of neurological problems. Most all of her problems happened when she was a baby. She had severe GI problems to where she wasn't digesting her food and was losing weight hand over fist. Plus, she is REALLY moody. Also, she gets sore knees every now and then.
She's so tiny that she's not even on the growth chart for her age. I agree that they'll more than likely try oral abx first. Hopefully since she doesn't have neuro problems, maybe the oral abx will do the trick.
I'm also hoping that I can use her positive test and my borderline positive test to prove to the insurance company that I have Lyme's and need a PICC line. I've been on abx for over 2 months now and don't feel any better. I think I have Babesia so my dr is testing me for it. Hopefully he'll put me on Mepron regardless and if it helps, great...if not, I'm really going to push for a PICC line.
