I am back to give some updates. I am 17 weeks pregnant now and most of the nasty symptoms that I was experiencing before have gone away for the most part.
I did my second set of bloodwork only for the IGM Western Blot, my results were:
IGM
30+
41+
39 IND
So now they want to do the 30/31 KDA test because the person who called me said that if band 30 is positive then they do the 30/31 KDA test, and they will know for sure if it's lyme or something else.
My results the first time around were:
igm- 39+ 41 IND
igg- 41+ 66+ 39 IND
He wants me to start the amoxy 3000 a day again until the results of this test come back.

Hi Marline. Have you been getting treated?
I am not a doctor but since you have symptoms and you are pregnant, I think taking the 3000 mg of Amoxicillin is a good idea. From what I understand, a pregnant woman with Lyme should be treated throughout the pregnancy to minimize transmission to the baby.
Band 41 is often the first to show and band 39 is a Lyme specific band.

Hi marline. Who says 3000 mg is too much? I believe this is the recommended minimum dose of Amoxicillin for Lyme. Lyme disease usually needs more aggressive treatment than some other infections. It is very important that you are on the proper dose, especially since you are pregnant.
I am not a doctor, but as far as I know you would not have band 39 positive if you did not have Lyme.

Thanks Ticker, It's just really scary not knowing the the outcome. My main concern is to have a healthy baby. This is my first baby and going through this is real hard.
Anyways, I am just waiting for Dr. H call, so he can tell me about the 30/31 confirmation test. Have you heard about this test before?
Can 3000mg for the whole pregnancy be harmful for the baby?

Hi Marline- I am glad you are doing all the right things for a healthy baby. You are in my prayers. I think I spoke with you on the MS board earlier this year. Since then, I think there have been 5 of us who ended up in the Lyme direction. Once you get a positive diagnosis, it might be a good idea to let the MS board know your story so you can help others stuck in dx limbo.

I am trying to do all the right things. If indeed is it is lyme I will difenetley let everybody know everywhere. This has been a long road and journey. All the people in here helped me so I will do the favor back.

Dr. S. H. called me yesterday and said that my 30/31 kda confirmation test was a negative and to stop taking the amoxy. He said that means that I don't have lyme. What do you all think?
