hello again all.

Well i just thought i'd update everyone on my progress... And have a few simple questions aswell. Well Let me catch everyone up. I went to the dr. a few months ago. He said he thinks im cured of all the bacteria. He said to play it safe he'd treat me for a coinfection. So he came me some prescription...i dont remember the name.. it was like maladrone or something liek that. Anyways i took that for like a month or 2. I felt great...i actually felt i was getting normal. I've now been off medicine for about 3...4 weeks. Head pressure/brain fog is just killing me. Also forgot to mention the dr. said i have post tramatic lyme disease. I haven't heard of this yet so wanted to ask you all about this. He said, once teh bacterias out of your system your body still has to recover from being sick so long. So you'll still feel sick and stuff for abotu a year or 2. Idk if im having a flair up or what. But i have some left over zithromax ...and i just strated taking it. Hope everyones feeling better. Btw i was able to get my scholarship to play football again....and boom i get sick again. Idk if im just wairing my body out or what. But for the last month or 2 i felt absolutly amazing. Was doing 2 a days and not feeling run down. Eating well, sleeping well, everything seemed perfect. Then BOOM....now im depressed and worried about my future again. Its hard to explain...i have heavy anxiety, head pressure, and just cant think straight. alwell.

Re: hello again all.

Hi Michael it is so nice to see you. I was wondering how you were doing.....

I feel you did the right thing in starting you antibiotics back. Michael from what I have gone through and reading what other's have gone through. You by all means are not cured. If I remember right you've had it for a couple of years...Sweetie it will take a few years of THE PROPER treatment to win this battle. I myself don't believe in that post Lyme syndrome stuff. From my own experience and from what I have read IF you are still having symptoms you should still be under treatment. And from what other's say a "GOOD" Lyme doctor will treat up until 2 months after the symptoms go away.

And only 2 months of the medicine for co-infection...that just doesn't sound right either.

Honestly I would find a different Lyme Doctor even if it means you need to travel.

Congratulations on your Scholarship! You really need to do all the foot work possble to get well ....You've come a long way...keep fighting for your health!

Hugs to you!!!

Re: hello again all.

Michael possibly post a thread asking for a different LLMD closet to you....

I myself don't believe in that post Lyme stuff...There is NO way that you would be cured after having it for a couple of years. From what I have learned NONE of us will be so called cured and totally rid of the bacteria...it can go dormaint and hid out in our bodies and then reappear some time in life...Cured no...Better yes....

That is just my opinion...I'm sure someone else will chime in here and give you another way of looking at it...

Hope you find a different doctor. You know you have it so get your rear to one and get on the proper treatment!

Good Luck kiddo!!!

Hugs

Re: hello again all.

Hi Michael,

I understand what you're saying about the head pressure. It is one of my main symptoms. Have you looked into any alternative/natural treatments? Are you taking any vitamin/mineral supplements? Are you taking the proper measures for detox? The bacteria can really mess up a lot of mechanisms in the body. It's possible your symptoms are related to metabolic functions in the body that the bacteria altered. Personally, I realized my thyroid has been messed up for a few years due to Lyme. Many thyroid disorder symptoms can mimic Lyme symptoms. The Lyme bacteria depletes are bodies of necessary nutrients/elements that it needs to function properly. Has your doctor looked at this angle?

Just my opinion.

I've had my thyroid checked out a few times and it came back fine...But i really am concerned about it. I mean im young and atheletic.. I can not pack on muscle mass for the life of me. I eat right/healthy excersise and still gain wieght. Im really worried about having some kinda of thyroid issue . But apparently from the tests i've had im fine.

Re: hello again all.

Michael, have you read the post on Iodoral? It is Iodine...something that we ALL need and a big portion of the population lacks enough of it.....

I LOVEEEEEE IT!!!

You can purchase it on line...and you can read more information about it while your at it: It is cheap too....

Keep in touch!

Hugs

Re: hello again all.

From what I have read and learned, the normal thyroid blood test given are not that accurate. The tests could come back normal and you could still have problems. What other symptoms are you having? What is your normal body temperature? Are you always cold or have cold hands and feet? I have many HypoT symptoms so I stared taking Iodoral (a tablet form of Iodine) as jojo stated. I am loving it as well. You might want to look into it or least look up symptoms of HypoT or HyperT. Are you gaining or losing weight unexpected weight? How are you energy levels? A well respected Lyme specialist claims that Iodine is the most critical element in people suffering from Lyme disease. We are deficient in it. I can't stress enough how bad this bacteria and other pathogens totally mess our body chemistry. We basically need to rebuild our bodies. Once we supply the body with what it needs to function it will do the rest.
