greasy hair

OK- this is really weird but I thought I'd ask. I hear hair loss is a frequent symptom of lyme but has anyone ever heard of greasy hair? All of a sudden, last week, the top front of my hair got 'gooky'. At first I thought it was some kind of misuse of hair product I could not remember doing but as the days went by, I realized it was an oily hair problem. I've tried about 3-4 hair clarifying products and products made for oily hair and nothing works.

So far, I am not losing any more hair than I used to (always had a handful of hair every shower- I have lots). Also the oily part has not spread to the rest of my head- it is staying on the top and front. I will call my stylist today and ask her if she has ever heard of such a thing and look online too.

Thanks!

Re: greasy hair

Have you tried a dandruff shampoo called Nizoral?

I was getting extremely greasy hair & a lot of "dandruff." My pharmacist recommended this shampoo and it helped tremendously.

My LLMD said that it was caused by yeast.

Re: greasy hair

I hope it will help. It helped me tremendously. Only use it twice a week and on the other shampoos just use your regular shampoo. Also make sure you're on a yeast protocol (diflucan?) if you have yeast.

I Took Azo Yeast last night and my har was not greasy this morning! Coincidence? Maybe but I'll try it again if it happens again!

Re: greasy hair

Mine goes back and forth from shedding to flat and greasy looking to fuzzy. I was told it was my thyroid condition but really think LD has something to do with it too. Never thought about yeast.
