Hi all,

Jus to say i had visit today with LLMD.... symptoms suggest i have Lyme bacteria.... i am going to start treatment on monday of cefuroxime 500mg twice daily orally for 8 weeks to see how i respond....

Any advice on the best way to take the anti-biotics...

Do i need to consider any supplements aswell....

Any advice on foods to avoid while on treatment....

Hi lenni1980.

So happy to hear you saw an LLMD. It makes a big difference when you have a plan of attack against this disease, doesn't it?

I pray this drug works for you and that you see some improvement.

Are you taking pro-biotics? A good pro-biotic will replace the bodies good bacteria that the antibiotics kill. Make sure you take the pro-biotic two hours before or after the medicine.

Hi ticker & 6blues,

Thank you for your advice... i havn't had a blood test done yet as i am keen to start treatment...it was kind of a relief that someone was listening to me and my book of symptoms i experience and he was not phased by any of them nor did i have that look to say that it was all in my head.... i am going to start treatment monday.... i no everyone is different but what kind of herx reaction can one expect.... how are the herx reactions best managed....
