Dr. Fritz Schardt - Diflucan and Penicillin
Has anybody heard of this German physician and his chronic Lyme disease protocol consisting of diflucan and penicillin? Dr. Schardt had Lyme himself and was his first patient using this protocol. There is an interview that was conducted with him which you can find by searching the Internet. In short, he recommends at least 50 days of diflucan at 200mgs a day, followed up by 20-30 days of a narrow-spectrum penicillin. This might have to be repeated several times before desired results and attained. As of 2005, he as treated himself and at least 80 of his patients. In might be worth investigating yourself or asking your Dr. about. This is the first I have heard about this and am intrigued by it. I have never taken Diflucan and understand it can be hard on the liver.
Has anybody followed this protocol or something similar. If so, any success/pitfalls?
