Neck Noises

Does anyone know why Lyme makes your neck sound like rice crispies when you move it? My neck is soo loud with cracks and creeks and snaps when I move it around. What the heck!

Re: Neck Noises

You're lucky it's just your neck. My hip and my knees are my favorite crack points. When I get out of bed every day I sound like a skelleton! It creeps my husband out, which is not the effect I look for!!!

It sucks!!!!!!

Re: Neck Noises

hey rodney,
my neck sounds like yours. I saw something on the net about "lyme neck" I know with me the docs say it arthritis. I know the "arthritis" is caused by the lyme. I hear with treatment things start to get better. I've seen a LITTLE improvement at times but still waiting to really start feeling better. Take care, mc

Rice Crispies is a great way to describe it!

I have that, too. No pain, just really annoying sounds and an
uncomfortable "scraping" feeling.

I'm on treatment. I'm hoping the Rice Crispies go away.

Re: Neck Noises

I get those noises behind my eye. Every little tiny movement of my left eye fills my head with loud noise. It's been 24-7 for almost 5 years now and no one's been able to give me any answers as to why. In the beginning it drove me to the edge of insanity many days, but I've slowly adjusted to it over the years. Still very frustrating and tiring though and it keeps me from doing anywhere near the amount of reading and studying I used to do.

Re: Neck Noises

Hey guys,

It gets better, my neck noises (and pains) have finally went away. Now just have the knees and hips also. I try to sneak up the stairs quietly at night but there is no use. Every step my foot hits, I crack. Sounds really gross but it must get better.
