Question Anyone Else have this weird "Boinging"?

I'm currently on treatment for Lyme and have been for over 6
months now.

Recently, I've developed a really weird symptom. I'm hoping it's
part of the healing process.

The feeling is like when you get cold swimming, then get out
of the pool...as you dry, the little hairs on your body dry and
"boing" up. I'm sure everyone has experienced that. I have that
feeling all over my body ALL DAY! What is that? Mycoplasia?

Anyone else have that boinging? I never had it until treatment.
I think it might be some sort of pathegon exiting.

Hi LymieGirl. I have not heard of this. Do you also feel a tingling sensation?

What treatment are you on?

I suggest talking with your doctor about this.

Hi, Ticker.

Sometimes its tingling, but only in one tiny spot, like the size
of a pinpoint, and it only lasts a couple of seconds. It doesn't
feel like when your foot falls asleep. More like electricity, except
it doesn't hurt. Usually the feeling is more like "boinging", though.
Nothing is visible. Whatever it is, it must be microscopic.

I talked to my Holistic practitioner on the phone and he said it
probably was some sort of co-infection. He said it was probably
a good thing that I was feeling this because it means that whatever
it is, it's exiting. And boy is it ever! I feel this all day, everyday!
I couldn't even count the numbers...it must be 300 or 400 a day.

Here, I thought that maybe it was a common symptom of Herxing,
but both you and my practitioner are puzzled by it.

It's amazing what a Lymie can pick up!

Hi LimieGirl. I started TX. About 4 mos. ago. I know exactly what you are talking about. I have same thing and started after Tx. With me, it got more diffuse and frequent. My LLMD is getting me out of all meds except minocycline. Wants to start me on some immune boosting IV bag two x weeks in the hopes of getting rid of it. It doesn't hurt but it can get annoying. Lately, it takes up about a golf ball size in many parts of the body and counting. It feels like buzzing under skin. Good luck.
Tony.

lymiegirl...I have a similar sensation..it feels like goosebumps without any visible bumbs. Like your skin is tightening. Is that what it feels like to you? That symptoms is almost gone now that I am getting treatment. Good luck and get well soon.

Hi, Rodney...

I get the phantom goosebumps, too, but that isn't what I'm describing.
It's more like an extremely small electric "buzz" but it doesn't hurt. It just buzzes. And then also the "boing", that feels like something springing off
of me, but nothing is there. At least nothing I can see.

It's encouraging to me that your goosebumps disappeared for you. Maybe
that means the buzzing and boinging will disappear for me, too.

It doesn't hurt, but it has become really annoying. These symptoms
just started a little over a month ago for me. They weren't part of my
Lyme, but apparently are part of my healing process.
