does it ever go away?

WI was treated with antibiotics for a full year my doctor told me that I should not have any symptoms once the Lyme is gone. i am still having some symptoms speraticly. a fog in my mind is the most consistant. but i was retested and it came up negative. I am wondering if there is anything I should do, or could do besides sit around and see if one day the test come back positive? please help. thanks.

What antibiotic were you treated with, dose and duration?

Most docs don't know that you need a second abx to kill the cyst form, else the Lyme's will just come back. Flagyl or Tindamax work well.

I can not remeber all that I was treated with,, i was on two or three antibotics at once, amoxisilon, doxisiclean, but I dont know that i took them at the same time. I was also on some other medication that treats maleria or somthing. was on thirty pilles a day of medication and suplimaent and a strict diet for over a year. My doctor at that time had lyme herself and saw a speshialist.

Re: does it ever go away?

Sounds like you were on Mepron/Azithromycin probably.

Have you found a Lyme specialist? If not, you can go here for a referral for one:
