Lyme and Adrenals

Does anyone know about how Lyme affects the adrenal glands? The reason I ask is that since Lyme, I can't tolerate synthroid anymore. I took it for years with no problems, but now it makes me dizzy and anxious. The only thing I can think of is adrenal fatigue may be the culprit. A blood test for cortisol was normal last year, but I know a single test doesn't tell much. Any thoughts? I also have postural tachycardia which is now worse since being on the iv, And I know that can be caused by low adreanals as well.

Re: Lyme and Adrenals

i have had loads of wierd problems for three years.including adrenal insufficiency. you need a short synathen test to diagnose properly to find out if your low. oral steriods can cause it to happen and inhalers. but it seems to wierd along with my other symptons. i was put on hydrocortisone replacement therapy which generally made me much iller. short synathen test will show it or not you need an endocrinologist to test.
