How much ProBiotics should I take?

There are so many kinds I don't even know if I'm taking the right species. I went to the website of the company that makes the one that I'm taking and I see at least 20 different products.

How many capsules should I take?

Anybody know? Is it better to take on an empty stomach, or with food?

Re: How much ProBiotics should I take?

Hi 1qwerasdf. It is important to take high-quality acidophilus and it needs to be at least two hours apart from when you take the antibiotics.

The best ones to get are refrigerated. Look for the ones that have a high culture count such as 10 billion. It will be on the label. Most healthfood stores sell these.

If you have the high culture count capsules, you do not have to take as many as you would if they were a lower count. It is important to take enough. I take at least two capsules daily of the 10 billion count, sometimes more. If you have diarrhea, you may need to increase the number you take.

I take 2 of the 10 billion kind, keep them in my fridge, and take them right before I have a light breakfast, 2 hours before I take my doxy.
