Red eyes

Right before my pains etc started I noticed (and others commented) that my eyes are always red, seems to be getting worse.

Does anyone here with Lyme have this issue?

Re: Red eyes

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Yes went through a period where my eyes would do this. And people would ask why I had been crying. Or what I had been smokin...I also went through a period where my eyes were yellow.

Re: Red eyes

I too have had people comment on my eyes being red all the time. This has not cleared up at any point yet for me. At first I just thought it was allergies but who knows anymore.

Red face Re: Red eyes

Most days , when my head pressure is looming,it gets stronger than normal or neck pain starts my right eye especially gets red and teary. Broken blood vessels and sometimes swollen cheek and brow around my eye are becoming more normal in the past year or so for me. I didn't think this was happening to others, does anyone else have severe headaches with the red eye?

Re: Red eyes

I just got back from a neuro eye appt. He said my eyes are fine after a 2.5 hrs of being there. I told him about my other symptoms and he was puzzled by it all. It makes me believe more that it is lyme......

Why does lyme effect the eyes? Mine feels like someone is squeezing my eye ball on and off. No inflammation or ANYTHING noted in my exam

Re: Red eyes

I personally feel that the pressure in the head from either nerve action or inflammation in the head causes the eye to have problems

Re: Red eyes

When one gets an eye exam and has lyme, would it show nerve damage? Lyme doesnt show pressure in the head on MRIs typically?

Re: Red eyes

k2626,

How are you doing? I was also having the red eyes, and found out I am positive for a co-infection through Igenex, yet negative for Lyme.

Please let me know how you have been.

Re: Red eyes

Oh Nexis that must be great to hear so that you can feel rested that you DO have something. What were you tested for? I get my co infecctions next week. I have been severly depressed thinking I have ALS (due to non stop twitching and joint cracks) though I passed my EMG, and continue to think other awful things....
