Need doctor specializing in Lymes

Hi. I'm looking for a doctor specializing in diagnosing Lymes disease. My son has tested negative and everything else has been ruled out but symptoms persist and I'm concerned this was a false negative. I want to try another doctor who might be more knowledgeable with Lymes. I live in New York, so I have easy access to Long Island as well as Manhattan. Any suggestions or ideas anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I don't know where else to turn as all tests have been done and we still have no answers.

Re: Need doctor specializing in Lymes

There is a really good Dr in Hyde Park NY State (I go to them), if you are interested. I live in north jersey and it takes me about an hour and a half to get there..

I was just diagnosed positive for Lyme, where the Neuro guy I went to said it wasnt lyme. The lab is crucial in determining this and a good Lyme Literal Dr will probably use Igenex in Calif for the testing.

If everything else was ruled out, then its a real good possibility for Lyme, but you need to see a good Dr that knows what they are doing.
What symptoms does your son have?

I live on Long Island. I would love to know who the Dr. is. What were all your symptoms of lyme and how did the dr treat you? Are you better now? LaLa

Not sure who you are asking, but I will answer anyway. I cant name the Dr on here, but if you search the internet, I am sure you can find it.
I had lots of symptoms, but the main ones were numbness and incredible weakness in my legs and arms. And, they hurt! Other symptoms are fatigue, head rushes, chills, shakiness, heart palpitations, eyes felt sore and like sandpaper in them, and just a feeling of being unwell.

I have only been on treatment since mid january, but already see an improvement. The Dr goes over your symptoms, and orders appropriate tests.
Once they see the whole picture of what is going on, they figure out the best way to attack it to kill the bacteria. I am giving you a very basic summary here..
Have you been tested positive for Lyme?
