stinging burn in muscle lyme symptom???

i have been diagnosed with a case of Lyme disease. i guess i had it for about 10 weeks before i got the prognosis. quest diagnostics western bot test showed had multiple reactives so no question.
Been on a 3 wk course of Doxycyclene for 2 weeks now.
i had really bad aches in my legs at night while i was sleeping. getting up in the middle of the night take a hot bath to work it out. it would take me an hour to work it out when i got up in the morning to where i could move around. and movement (and morning coffee) helped.
also had some numbness, tightness in my jaw, and felt like there was some neurological stuff going on.
My question is what i experience below normal?
the first 4-5 days on the doxy i started to feel pretty good. i felt like working outside, then it leveled off and now, days 12-14, yesterday, i had some swollen glands in my neck and today i feel kind of nausea, tired, brain fog, weak, blah.. i think it might be side effects from the doxy? or is the lymes developing resistance to the doxy?
And NOW occasionally get up or bend down, or use some set of muscles. i get a sharp burning pain in one local small spot of a muscle. like i had one for a while in my calf today. and then this evening i had one in my muscle on my rib cage, but only when i am using that muscle, as soon as i relax it, pain is gone..I wonder if that is a round body lyme cyst formed there???. i have been on doxy for nearly 15 days, all of the old muscle pains have been gone for 10-12 days.. what is this new stingin burning pain in the muscle? any one know?

Re: stinging burn in muscle lyme symptom???

lightfoot,

Nothing you've described is a strange or unusual symptom of Lyme. The problem is that you appear to not be seeing a lyme specialist, an LLMD, as they would not just put you on 3 weeks of Doxy. This is what most all non lyme docs do because they don't understand the disease; thus, they do not know how to treat it.

Read the post at the top of this page titled "Lyme Newbies". An LLMD would also test (at Igenex Lab) for co-infections. You need to find proper care soon as this disease can quickly become chronic.

Best,

Jen

Re: stinging burn in muscle lyme symptom???

Thanks, I will look into a Lyme specific Doctor. I live in Pittsburgh, PA if anyone knows of any Lyme specific doctor in the area. I am afraid he will do an IV pic line, but that would be better than Lymes, i suppose.
The symptoms seem worse this morning. it seems like the doxy is no longer killing the lymes. I was/am doing some alternatives like colloidal silver, herbal samento/banderol tinctures, sarsaparilla root. i was feeling nauseaus yesterday and the MD/ND i see said maybe there was a rxn between the antibiotic and the herbals. i just thought it was a reaction the doxy.
i read a little about the salt/C but only in posts. what is the main post for the salt/C regimen?
Also, i am really looking at a product called MMS.. miracle mineral supplement. chlorine dioxide.. i have read alot about MMS on the net over the last several days and it seems good to try. do you have any experience with MMS and lymes?

Re: stinging burn in muscle lyme symptom???

Hi,

The aduncts you are using are very good. If you wish to try the salt/C protocol I would highly recommend getting the book (one person said you could read it online) titled The Salt/C Plus Protocol for Lyme Infection by M. Fett. This book will guide you step by step in the protocol. It also has excellent detox information and what you can use for any system of the body that is malfunctioning! Here, also, you can find the support group for this protocol.

RE. MMS. Yes, I tried it when it was first being used for lyme, but had a bad reaction because I took too much. Just be careful with the dosage. Many lymies now use it with good results.

You're on the right track!

Jen

Just wanted to mention that with the S/C protocol you wouldn't need an LLMD

Re: stinging burn in muscle lyme symptom???

hugs and thanks for the speedo reply.
heard that about the MMS, dont over do it.

also, i heard that (hard) hyperbaric oxygen chamber can knock down the lymes. i called a (non-hospital privatly owned) Hyperbaric oxygen chamber here in Pgh and they said they are do Lymes there, recommended person be on something like antibiotics or natural alternative as well... you have any experience with HBO?

in relation to the salt/C you said,"Here, also, you can find the support group for this protocol." do you mean here on this forum? or where?

Listed in the book. We cannot post here names of doctors or sites.

Onward!

No, but you will find many in the support group who are using it or have in the past.

Re: stinging burn in muscle lyme symptom???

Hi Jen, the book on salt/c (by fett) arrived yesterday. it is a very well written book.
to fully engage in the protocol seems like it is fulltime and somewhat daunting.
but if that is what it takes to regain one's health, then "onward" as you would say.
better than a life of abx. is salt/c the treatment you have done?(assuming you have lymes)
I am about to go pick up some colustrum transfer factor specific to lymes from my homy.
ever had any exp with transfer factor for lymes? sounds like a good idea in theory.

I am doing ok, the 3 wks of doxy ended yesterday. i am stoking up on samento/banderol, colloidal silver, gse, and olive leaf ext. also starting to try small amounts of MMS,, not sure about that stuff but we will see.

For those of us with chronic, late-stage lyme, attending to our health is a full time occupation. It has to be if we are to make any headway. You stated you have been infected for 2 1/2 months. Since you caught it early, if you continue with your good research and stick to the regime it's likely it will be a far less long and daunting course for you. As I said before, when you herx or hit a rough spot I would definitely cue into the S/C support group. I was a member from the beginning of its start and credit those associations for keeping me on that healing path.

Yes. This is the only treatment that I used for lyme and the many co-infections that I had and I now no longer test positive

I am about to go pick up some colustrum transfer factor specific to lymes from my homy.

I used this in the very beginning of the illness (before I was correctly diagnosed) as well as many other things that I researched. That was years ago so I cannot remember if I felt it helped, or not, with anything.

The main thing you need to do with salt/C is salt/C and follow the ramp up suggestion outlined in the book. All the other adjuncts are important with herxing and detoxing; therefore, help to support the main protocol - S/C.

I wish you all the best with this Lightfoot. I'm only one among a great many who have found healing with this protocol. I hope you are another one.

Jen
