Does anyone? know of a proven link between the two, our if Lyme can cause hypothyroidism?
I don't know if anything can be "proven" when it comes to Lyme, but I can tell you that there are a great many lymies who also have hypothyroidism. Since lyme can lead to malfunctioning in so many areas of the body it is likely that it has affected thyroid functioning as well.
That is interesting. I am hypo, almost at the maximum dosage of armour, and my doctor wants to do alyne test. I've been bit at least 5 times by tiny ticks, and about 10 more times by larger ones, so he wants to check that out. All my problems began rightfter being bit when I was pregnant. I never got a fever that I remember though, and no target sign our rash.
