Re: New here - help?

Welcome here,

Your results indicate positive for Lyme Disease. You need to see a lyme specialist, an LLMD, to begin treatment. Your doctor is not an LLMD; otherwise, he would not have responded as he did! The problem (and we've seen this with a number of people who come here from Canada) is finding someone qualified to treat lyme in Canada. Some have opted for alternative protocols, such as salt/c, Buhner, etc.

First, read the sticky posts at the top of this board for more information. Then you might contact one of the lyme associations to see if anything has changed in terms of LLMD referrals in your area. If you've been infected for a long time and cannot locate an LLMD an alternative protocol might be best anyway. Do a lot of research. It will benefit you greatly on this journey. You might also do a search on this board for those posts from other Canadians.

This may seem strange to say but you are one of the fortunate people whose test came back positive. Many bona fide lymies test negative and then have to spend precious time trying to find someone who will treat them.

All the best!

Jen
