Ringing in my Ears-Doxy? Help

Hi,
So I don't really even know if I have Lyme yet since I'm still waiting for the test results to come back. Just wondering if the ringing in my ears is more likely to be the Lyme or the doxy? Will it ever go away? Anyway to minimize it?

Re: Ringing in my Ears-Doxy? Help

My ears started ringing way before I was even put on antibiotics. It could be from them, or the bacteria or viral infections.
Mine still ring. The have been this way for over 20 years. Some people's go away some don't. Sorry no easy answer on that one.

Lyme testing is not accurate. So if you get a negative, and are displaying symptoms you still could have it. No matter what, good idea to search out a LLMD.

Took 12 years of treatment for me to finally get a positive through Igenex lab.
I have read that the bands that your suppose to have were used for tracking which strains are where. So you can't go soely on the test.

Wishing you the best.

Jodie

Re: Ringing in my Ears-Doxy? Help

My ears ringing badly was one of my symptoms before I knew I had lyme. I was on doxy for four months. I've been on ten other antibiotics in the past ten months. My wars are still ringing. I think it is the lyme - not the antibiotics - since that was one of my many symptoms prior to diagnosis and meds.
