Lyme test

I have all the symtoms of Lyme disease but my doctor said my test came back negative...the Lyme OD was 0.140; Lyme SCR was negative; and Lyme IGG/IGM was negative. Have any others ever had a negative test result but been treated and felt better?

Re: Lyme test

My tests were negative when they tested me when I was first sick- still started treatment based on clinical diagnosis. My tests were positive three months into treatment. I've been in treatment for ten months. Still healing - still have horrible days. But I have hope again. I was completely bedridden for two and a half mos. I can walk, drive, and function today. Although there are days when I would rather bury my head under the covers all day. But I can tell you that all my meds have definitely started to heal me. It is a long road..

Lyme is diagnosed primarily by clinical symptoms. Many people who have lyme test negative. It is imperative that you see a lyme specialist, an LLMD, and test at the proper lyme lab, Igenex Lab in Palo Alto CA. Read the sticky at the top of this board titled "lymie newbies" for further information. If you have lyme disease and were recently infected, time is of the essence! The sooner you start treatment the better.

Best,

Jen
