I haven't posted here for awhile. I have had 3 episodes of lyme and now have some chronic lyme syptoms. I have been trying a Salt-C protocol since September, but could only build up to 4gms a day. Not enough to smack it out of my system. Things were tolerable until I decided to get the flu shot. This brought back some of my worst symptoms. Terrible headache, dizziness, joint pain/swelling, night sweats and low grade fever. Should I just wait for this to pass/calm down or do I need to start antibiotics again? Since doctors in my area are clueless to Lyme, I did buy antibiotics on the internet and could start back on Doxy. Any advice would be appreciated.
I have been wondering if doing the full 1,000 milligrams of C with each Salt dose is necessary. I could defintiely tolerate 500mg a lot easier. I will look into the C you mentioned. It is not one of the 6 different brands I have tried.
Hi Purpletrail...I take...Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C. From where you are sitting you can find it.
it is suppose to be the best, and acts like IV vitamin c. It has 1,000 mg of C. Kind of like a liquid. Some take it in juice, I just open the package and swallow.
My doc highly recommends large doses of C.
P.S. flu shots or any type of vaccine should be avoided at ALL cost. if a doctor pushes you to do them, RUN! You can read up on what are in flu shots, and other vaccines. Taking vitamin C and vitamin D, washing hands, and keeping the immune system up is the best protocol. I did a flu shot back in 1997, made me sick for MONTHS...
When I got my Hepatitis B shot for work, my Lyme came out FULL FORCE. Vaccines do affect the immune system which gives infections an opportunity to get stronger.
