Desperate AND serious (lymphedema, cellulitis, obesity, hgh)
I'm new to the boards. My name is Sam. I need some advice. I have been living with severe lymphedema since 1999. It has disabled me to the point I was not able to hold a steady job. It affects my entire life.
I am morbidly obese but very active with arthritis in my knees. I get severe bouts of cellulitis with lesions and I am hospitalized 2-3 times a year because of it.
I exercise about 4-5 times per week doing water jogging and yoga. And whenever I seem to be making progress a bout of cellulitis derails me every time and it seems like I have to start over.
I used to wrap my legs but because of the amount of exercise and the number of times I had to rewrap my legs everyday that has went by the wayside and it also tends to cause sores or rashes that then bring about the cellulitis again.
As far as my obesity, I cannot tolerate carbohydrates well but when I go on a low carb regimen my gastrointestinal system suffers (especially in the final phase if you know what I mean) and my exercise regimen suffers. But it does cause the lymphedema to deflate somewhat.
I have been stuck in this cycle of health and illness for years and can't seem to battle my way out. I need some advice.
I am 41 years old and I keep reading about HGH and how it can help your bones, musculature and so many other things. I am wondering if it can help me get me over that barrier I seem to keep hitting. I am wondering also if my doctor will listen to me about and can prescribe it. I also wonder if my health insurance will cover it.
Thank you for your time.
