for two months now i've had swollen glands on the side of my neck....i've been to see my g.p. about it and he said it "doesnt seem to be anything to be concerned about"..... ok for him to say!!!! as i suffer from health anxiety this condition is terrifying me. could it be anything to do with the fact that i have been suffering from a lot of catarrh for the past two months???
i should also mention that i get this ' lump like feeling' in my throat as well as if i am pushing in on it ( hope i'm making sense here ) its a very hard feeling to describe........... any help would be appreciated please

The lump in your throat is likely from anxiety. I've had that in the past as well. What testing has been done for your swollen glands? Also, what is catarrh?

the doc hasn't mentioned doing any tests on my glands at all.. i havent been back to see about them as i feel like a nuisance when i go...cattarh is a build up of mucus at the back of my nose and throat..

Hi Caman i too understand your frustration. I have had swollen glands since March of 2009. I have had 3 ct scans and even went to a surgeon to consider having a biopsy. The prominent node is not in a place that they can reach so no biopsy is obtainable. I have been dealing with this for over two years now and the swollen lymph nodes are painful. Not painful to the touch but they cause pain in my neck and throat area. Since this has started I now have several other health issues that may or may not be related. I hope that you can find answers, as I myself, am still searching for them. I know how its feels to feel helpless. The last doctor I saw said "some people just have enlarged glands." I wasn't born that way and something apparently has triggered it and I would like answers too.
