Just Wondering - Lymphomas Message Board

I have a quick question...I have what I think is a lymph node under my left breast just about on the top of my rib cage. It is about the size of half a golf ball and it has been there for some time now. I can move it around and it is not painful...but why would a lymph node stay swollen for soo long. It has been at least a year now.?

Any input would be great.

That is a good question. Are you sure it is a lymph node? Has a doctor told you it is? Could it be a fatty tumor? They are moveable and are harmless unless they are irritating a nerve. You said it is not painful and it is moveable. If you continue to be curious see your doctor.
