| Re: pregnancy after non-hodgkins???
She had symptoms of tiredness and night sweats throughout her pregnancy but chalked it up to being pregnant. When she was 7 months or so pregnant, she was having a hard time breathing and noticed an extremely large swelling that went from her neck almost down to her chest. Her next door neighbor who happen to be a doctor told her he wanted to see her in the office next day - they ran tests and found stage four Hodgkins. She had the baby c section within a months time and went on chemo after delivery.
Then three years later, it reoccured again and she went on chemo. That was 15 years ago and she's disease free today. Her doctor actaully wrote a book about her.
She is a true hero to me, during her ordeal, her husband ran off with his secretary so she had a small baby to take care of and a disease to contend with but she never became the cancer and just focused and took it a day at a time. She remarried last year - son is graduating high school and she's one fine lady who kept her faith - that's what most of it is about.
I probably gave you more details than you wanted but I know so many people with various kinds of lymphomas and all have the same message, just don't become the illness.
