Liposarcoma.. Can anyone help me out here? - Lymphomas Message Board

My husband was just diagnosed with Liposarcoma.

His Doc wants to send him to WVU, UVA or Duke and they sounded urgent.

Can someone, either with or without personal experience, please tell me what is this (disease) and what kind of treatment we can expect?

The PA told me it was a tumor and could be a spreading type of cancer.

My husband is only 36. We have 3 children under 18.

Were very distressed about this.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure this is the right forum but I'll try to help anyway,

Liposarcoma is a malignant tumor of the fatty tissues.

Please visit a search engine such as google or yahoo and search the disease name with or without the word "treatment" e.g. "Liposarcoma treatment"
I'm sure you will find many helpful sites. (Sorry it is not allowed to post direct links here).
