Two Swollen Nodes for 10+ Years
Approximately 11 years ago, I made my last visit to my family physician with worries about two lumps, one on each side of my upper neck, just below my ears and right behind the back of my jaw. Neither were painful, but were hard and immovable. He felt them, asked me a few questions and said they were nothing to worry about. I left and forgot about them as they never caused any pain, nor did they ever swell up any further.
Knowing what I know now about the various types of lymphoma, leukemia, etc...I wonder if I should go back for another look. They're both still there, and both are constantly between 1.5 and 2cm in width. They ache occasionally whenever I get a cold or the flu, but otherwise stay "invisible" to me.
Should I have them checked out again? I'm going to the Dr for a checkup in mid-September, so maybe I'll mention this to him and tell him they've been like thisn since I saw him last in 1992. =
