I am so scared.... need advice - Lymphomas Message Board

hi, everyone... just three days ago i was a healthy 28 yr old, until i noticed three knots on the side of my neck and one behind my ear... i have two knots on the right side of my neck about the size of a dime, a one small one, about the size of a pea behind my ear... there is only one on my left side of my neck about the size of a dime as well.... they are very painful when touched and the back of my head is very sore... what could this indicate?

pls. help...

call the dr immediately ... it is probably nothing usually malignant tumors do not hurt... have you had a cold or sinus problems ear infection? that could cause it ...

i went to the dr today... i have a scalp irritation and he said that it could have caused my lymph nodes to swell... he put me on ten days worth of antiboitics... i have to go back in ten days and he said if they are still there, he would have to do a biopsy.. so, now i am just waiting... i will let you know how the outcome turns out.. thanx

it has been seven days and the lumps are still on my neck and the back of my head.... i called my dr and he put me on another kind of antibotic, except this one is for treating bacteria.. he still wants me to continue taking the other as well, which is for treating viral infections... i don't know what is wrong with me... does it take awhile for lymph nodes to go down ???
