Hi Becky, I guess we have to trust our oncologists on treatment plans for us! I had asked mine if I could have done just the Rituxan but he did not recommend it. I guess it is all a matter of opinion. Don't worry too much about losing your hair, though on my treatment mine will only thin a bit. That would not really worry me though. I have seen so many people who have lost their hair and some proudly display their baldness.....I was so inspired by them!
Apart from these few days of nausea, I hope to feel alot better in about a week's time. My energy is fine. Trouble is when I start to feel better, I am then paranoid about picking up an infection...fludarabine is particularly hard on the white blood cells. Remember to drink loads of water while on your treatment...helps to flush the kidneys.
I have four more cycles planned at this point and mine are done for three days straight every four weeks. I really love the three weeks clear in between!!
Becky, let us know how it goes on Monday and good luck! do you have a port? I do not and presently it is going OK though one hand has a big bruise on it at the moment from the needle....small things!!
Love and prayers,
