Post treatment rash - Lymphomas Message Board

Just wondering if anyone else has had a rash a couple of days after treatment for follicular lymphoma? I had a small circular rash in the centre of my chest up to yesterday but now I have a more general rash on my neck and chest. I had Rituxan on Tuesday and wonder if it is that that has caused this. It does not really itch much at all. Of course these things always happen at the weekend and I do not want to bother my oncologist. I am also on Fludarabine and Cytoxan but treatment of those was delayed until next week as I had a low grade fever. This will be my fourth cycle. Wonder which one is causing my problems? Maybe all three!!

Hi,
I haven't heard of any of those medications causing a rash, of course that doesn't mean they can't be the cause, but I would definitely let your doctor know. Whether the meds are the cause or not your doctor needs to know.

Hi Allison,

I just finished treatment for Burkits Lymphoma. I had Retuxin and I did not have a rash. I would call your doctor and tell him immediately. Just in case you are alergic to any of the treatments.

Well, nearly a month has past since I posted that concern. My oncologist was not too concerned about the rash and the circular area of redness is still there but somewhat faded. Probably just a reaction to chemotherapy but who knows! Just as I had fever of unknown cause, maybe the rash was of unknown cause too. Every month seems to be different and, as long as I do not get anything too serious, I can deal with it.
