Port's "in"...good news!
Hi Everyone!
I'm so thrilled.. that I'm "on my way to being cured," as Ails said earlier. It's so exciting!
I've been at the hospital since 7:00 a.m. (almost 12 hours) and had the port put in. It was not quite as big a procedure as I thought....although, nothing's a "walk in the park," now...is it? Then, I saw my Oncologist and my last test is NEGATIVE! No bone marrow problems.....Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I can breathe.....Now I feel I can start.....
(For anybody reading this with concern about bone marrow issues in Hodgkin's -- it's still curable---just more involved. I'm blessed that it wasn't)
I go tomorrow for my 1st 4 hour long chemo session. But that's ok...I'm ready. My husband and I came home, and said a thankful prayer---I was so worried about my lymphoma being more involved than we knew. I'm still stage "2A" with some inner lymph nodes in my chest.
Let the healing begin.
God Bless this forum for helping me.
I still don't know everything that I'm up against concerning chemo---but I'm ready! Thank you, Ails for your info. You've been "right on the money $$$" so far, and many, many "thanks" to all my other new friends on here for their comforting, kind words.
I need to rest now....sweet dreams.
XO S.
