Red, slightly itchy nodule/lump on back/side -- sound like cutaneous B-Cell lymphoma?

I just noticed this in the middle of the night Saturday. It's about an inch long and 1/4 inch wide. It's raised and dark pink to red. Sometimes it looks lighter than other times. It itches occasionally and is irregular shaped, not round. I can't seem to find any info that would point to an insect bite, but it seems more likely a benign lesion that simulates lymphoma, or cutaneous B-cell lymphoma. If anyone has had a similar symptoms, please let me know the outcome.

It sounds like it might be a bug bite of some kind. If you do not see any improvement OR if it gets worse I would see a doctor by this Friday.
When I get bit (I am allergic to most bites) they last a good week with me. Mine tend to get large. I wouldn't get scared about it especially if it just came on Saturday and it is itchy. Sounds like a bite. Let us know.

Hi I have a few like that, they have erupted and I know what you mean they are really unslightly, and aren't bug bites, as mine looks like it has purple skin on the top of it, Not nice to look at, I am seeing a consultant tomorrow, so i will let you know what he thinks.

Hang on in there my friend,

Susie x

You have had a lot of other symptoms in the last year + haven't you? What is going on with symptoms to date?

Re: Red, slightly itchy nodule/lump on back/side -- sound like cutaneous B-Cell lymph

All my tests have been negative. My CTscan was last September, and the ultrasounds were over a year ago. But my symptoms haven't progressed any. Still the same right sided lower back, flank, pelvic and occasionally abdominal pain and pressure. I saw a GI doctor (finally) last week, and he seems to think it is NOT GI related, but ordered me an upper GI which I'm having next week. I really have stopped worrying about those symptoms, except when something new pops up, like this. I figure I would have progressed to something worse by now if it was serious, and I'm beginning to believe it's actually all related to a nerve or disk in my back.

Yes, it seems that if it was really a serious issue it would have progressed and gone into other things. You are probably correct. That is the same attitude I am keeping.

Take care!
