Re: Results of CT Scan of Swollen Lymph Nodes in Neck
Went to see the ENT doctor and was impressed with her knowledge and certainty. She examined my neck, the lump and my mouth, nose, etc. Then she got the CT scans out and put them up and reviewed them with me. She was very serious and all busines, very matter of fact. She didn't even look at the radiology report but went into great details explaining what she saw. In the end she said the lump is a swollen submandibular gland which may have become inflammed due to infection or just might be permanently enlarged. When she pushed on it I could feel saliva entering my mouth and the lump became smaller. She told me to massage it during the day and drink lots of water so it doesn't get infected. She told me I don't even need to return unless it becomes large and hard. I was puzzled and asked her about the swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my neck and she said there aren't any. Thank you God and St Jude! I told her how this caused me such anxiety for two months and I wished that I came to her sooner. She said when the first round of antibiotics didn't work I should have seen her then. For anyone who ever reads this, the lesson I learned is to go to a specialist early on. Don't wait for months and put yourself through what I went through worrying. I wish everyone good health, peace and love.
