HI
I am hoping someone can help me that has had enlarged lymph nodes in the groin area.
I noticed two enlarged nodes on my right inner thigh around August the 8th. I immediately made an appointment with the ob/gyn because I thought it had something to do with the pelvic area(mainly right side). I have a lot of pain, at times there, and some horrible low back pain. Anyway, at that time the one node in my inner thigh was about the size of my little finger. The ob/gyn didn't even check it out, so I figured it was nothing and if it was it would show up on the tests. Everything came back normal. In the meantime, however, the one node grew to about 4cm and the other to about 1.5cm. I also had some type of bite or something on my knee. The nodes were becoming VERY painful and my right side and back also. ANYWAY, I went to a nurse practitioner who looked at the "thing" on my knee and was very surprised at the lumps on my inner thigh. She gave me a shot of Rocephin and put me on Bactrim. She also did a Complete Blood Count. The enlarged nodes had not gone down, so on Thursday I went back. The "thing" on my knee was better. The CBC was normal and they made an appointment with a surgeon for me.
I just took the last Bactrim, today. The lymph node on my thigh is about 3.5 cm and the other is a little over 1 cm. I rescheduled the appointment for the 17th of Sept. with the surgeon. I still have pain between my knee and thigh and right side pain and low back pain. I am not sure I need to see a surgeon. Don't the nodes just stay enlarged sometimes? If it was some type of infection, would it cause my leg and right side to hurt even now?
