Re: hodgkins disease
Hodgkins Disease is a haematological cancer of the lymphatic system, it usually effects one or more of the lymph nodes, the spleen, thymus gland or the bone marrow, and can also effect other organs in the body in more advanced stages of the cancer. It is considered one of the most treatable and curable cancers and is also rare with approx 1% of all cancers is hodgkins disease. there are 2 main age groups it affects which are generally adolescents to young adults and the elderly.
I have never ever heard of 'slaughter' hodgkins disease. There are 2 types of lymphoma, hodgkins disease and non-hodgkins disease. there are many different types of non-hodgkins.
I hope that has helped.
