My grandmother is 90 years old and was diagnosed with lymphoma (No biopsy due to age).

2 months ago at the beginning of June she was living on her own still managing her farm. She was then diagnosed with a urninary tract infection.

She was then brought home with my mother and taken to the hopsital. There it was found that she had a urniary tract infection still and pneumonia. It was also found that her soduim level was low. She was able to walk with assistants and then later began walking on her own. It was also found when she got home that her protien level was low. She also had Black Hairy Tounge.

She then complained that she was not able to urinate as well as she should and was then taken to the hospital. At the hospital it was found that she had a blood clot in her leg and a a carbuckle on her uthera.

The doctors also found something in her lymph nodes in her groin area and wanted to find out more about it.

The scheduled surgery to remove the carbuckle and explore the lymph nodes. My mother refused the surgery to explore the lymph nodes knowing that my 90 year old grandmother would never recover from that evasive a surgery.

Grandma was sent home and an appointment was made for her to go in and see the surgeon. She was doing well at home and was able to walk with assistance. One day she got weak and was not able to stand as well.

She was taken to her appointment to see the surgeon about removing the carbuckle but she was too weak to even evaluate her. Her doctor then suggested she be placed on hospice.

She is on hospice and has been for 3 weeks. The first week was bad. She didnt make sense she was confused. She is completly bed ridden. She began to improve and could even sit up with assistance in bed. She began to become for focused, she ate better, and was awake more. The only problem we were experiencing then was her fingers and toes would go purple but it only lasted for a little while.

She now has developed lesions on her arm and leg that are filled with blood. She has been on Lovenox for her blood clot for a few weeks.

What can we do and what can we expect?????? Any help or suggestions??????
