It sounds more like a blocked salivary gland. Is it just below and in front of your ear? Mine has been doing that on and off for years. The act of chewing sort of pumps it up as saliva backs up in it and after eating it will gradually drain and go down. If you squirt lemon juice into your mouth on that side, the saliva may come out in a rush and wash out the blockage. Sera.
