| Matted lymphnodes
I have had swollen lymphnodes since March. I was diagnosed with Thyroid Disease last month and am on medication. I still have the swollen nodes though. I've had a thyroid u/s and ct scan with contrast done.
CT scan result: "scattered shotty cervical nodes are present. Somewhat prominent peri-thyroidal nodes are present. The largest of these is in the left pretrachael region, with a bilobed appearance. Presumably, this reflects two seperate lymph nodes measuring approximately 9mm each maximally. The other node just medial to the left proximal internal jugular vein measures 9mm as well."
Impression: two or three lymphnodes adjacent to the thyroid gland as discussed, which are nonspecific.
So... Two ENTs, my regular doc, and endocrinologist have seen these are aren't concered, fine. But the lymph nodes are matted and I just made the mistake of looking that up on the internet and you can guess which word came up everywhere. Just hoping for opinions from others.
