| | very worried, need some opinions please??
Hi all, I am a 23 year old female and just last night as I was rubbing my neck I noticed a very tiny but firm 'nodule' like lump. It is very small, not even quite the size of a pea. It is towards the front of my neck, under my chin. As far as I can tell it doesn't move. I don't think I have any of the other symptoms, definitely no fever, weight loss, etc. Some other symptoms I have periodically but they are not constant (the occasional night sweat, abdominal cramps, itching) and I've had those for years.
Now, about two weeks ago I had a weird growth in my arm pit and went to the doctor. It swelled, was painful and red. She diagnosed it as folliculitis and put me on an antibiotic, and it went down almost completely. I can still tell there's a bit of something there, but I can barely feel it now. If this was related to lymphoma, would it have gone down?
I also am having some regular allergy symptoms from the weather - occasional cough, stuffy nose, scratchy throat in the mornings, drainage, etc.
I have not noticed any other lumps anywhere else...I am a bit of a hypochondriac and I'm extremely worried that this could be the beginnings of lymphoma or something else serious. I am also worried my doctor, who is very good, will dismiss it as nothing or just do blood work, as I'm reading a lot of stories on here about that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and know that I will most likely be making a doc's appointment this week anyway. Thank you in advance.
