lump in throat
Hi, I'm a sixteen year old female. I had a third ventriculostomy for a benign brain tumor a few years ago and I've recently been diagnosed with Systematic Lupus. For over a year now, I've dealt with chronic fatigue and illness and I've tested positive for Epstein-Barr Virus multiple times. Initially, my doctor diagnosed this as Chronic Mononucleosis, but now he's questioning if my EBV is actually Mono or if it its one of the forms of cancer associated with EBV. One strange thing that he's noticed is that my levels of EBV keep growing but no one I've been in contact with has ever contracted Mono or any of its symptoms. I've looked into this, and the only issue that seems relevant is a large lump present directly underneath my chin that's been there for months. Could this be a sign of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma or is it simply a swollen gland?
