| I just had my 1st treatment with Rituxan.
I just had my 1st treatment with Rituxan and it does take a lond time. I went in to the Lab first at 10 am and then upstairs to the Infusion room. After I sat in a chair the nurse came over and explained what was going to be done and what side effects I might experience. They gave me 2 tylenol with water then they started the IV line and gave me benadyrl in an IV bag. I wated 20 minutes and then they started the Rituxan at 11:45am. During the day they kept increasing it by 50 and I finally finished at 3:45 pm. It made it a very long day.
Once I got home an hour later I got the chills, fever , weakness and the nurse told my wife that I was having a reaction to the Rituxan. They btold her to give me a benadrly and 2 tylenol and to call back if I got worse. I hope the next one goes better than this.
