| Bloodwork fine… But something's wrong.
Hello,
My name is Ashley and I'm a 22 year old full time college student and work full time in a restaurant. Recently my health seems to be declining. About 3 months ago I started feeling sick with flu like symptoms, tired, achy, chills, etc. I finally went to the doctor when I realized my body wasn't kicking whatever was happening on its own. The doctor figured it was mono, and on top of that I had acquired a sinus infection, ear infection, and strep. A week of antibiotics, steroids, and decongestants seemed to work for a couple days.
Symptoms all came back worse than before, and I returned to the doctor. Blood work and urine tests came back normal, with the exception of my WBC being low for the infections and antibodies for both strains of mono. New antibiotics and prednisone were prescribed. Its now been 2 months of back and forth to the doctors and bloodwork, with no answers.
After my first day back to work in months, I came home exhausted with several swollen lymph nodes that were excruciating. Doctor asks for more blood and sends me for a CT scan and ultrasound, which I'm currently waiting on results for. During the ultrasound the doctor seemed concerned about my left kidney, and got a second doctor to come in and look.
I'm sorry for my rant but I am hoping someone might have gone through something similar and can help put my mind at ease. The pathologist said it didn't look like lymphoma but with a lot of my symptoms and online reading I have a nagging feeling. Any info would be appreciated!
