| 18 years old, doctor completely dismissed me! looking for some advice on here
Hi everyone,
I noticed a lump in my armpit about 4 months ago which is still there now. The armpit is also very swollen compared to the other side, also its not painful at all. I went to the doctor's two weeks ago and it was a male doctor. He seemed very uncomfortable with the fact that he had to feel my armpit and afterwards he kept staring at my chest! Because he felt so uncomfortable he became very dismissive and just said it was a swollen lymph node nothing to worry about.
I came out feeling very unsatisfied about the answer, however I was distracted because id also enquired about flashes of light in my eye which turned out to be a detached retina! Now that iv come to terms with that iv started thinking about that lump again. Cancer runs in my mums side of the family with my nan, grandad and aunty all having passed away as a result :/
As well as the lump I am ALWAYS tired; my brother calls me lazy but its actually because I just never have any energy.
Do you think its worth me making another appointment and asking for a different (more professional) doctor?
Is there anything else that could be causing these symptoms such as an infection or disorder?
