Question I'm scared and i hate this cancer!

My husband finished up his RICE treatments for dlbc in April. Had a PET scan on May 6th and was NED. Started having bad stomach pains May 13th. Had another Pet scan on June 11th and it was back again even worse. How could a pet scan say ned and it be back enough to hurt him by the 13th? How is that possible? Started Treanda/Rituxin last month. Has had 2 so far.His Onc wants to hurry up and do 3 rounds, another pet scan and then ship him off for Allo Transplant. He REALLY does not want to do an Allo. Has this combo worked for anyone else? I figure if you relaspe from RICE that fast, you are pretty screwed.
