| | All lymph nodes swollen... lymphoma?
In late September, I went to the doctor because I had low back pain and was concerned about getting another kidney infection. I had one in back in March, so I wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. A few weeks later, I found swollen lymph nodes all over my body. I guess the first one I noticed was under my armpit and then my neck and my groin.
I had several blood tests - they checked for mono, TB, cat scratch, nearly everything. The results came back and found that I had antinuclear antibodies, which isn't too surprising because my grandma has rheumatoid arthritis. Anyway, they sent me to a rheumatologist. My appointment was Friday and he did some more blood work as well as a urine test. I just got a call today saying that I don't have Lupus (which is what they were concerned about) or any autoimmune disorder. Obviously, I'm really grateful that I don't have these because I know they can be quite difficult to deal with.
However, now I'm wondering if I might have lymphoma. This has been looming in the back of my mind this whole time, but I was hoping it would be something else.
I've also been really itchy, mostly on my legs and scalp, and I have had fatigue for the last few months. Just recently, I've started to have some night sweats. They aren't the drenching ones that I've read about that is a classic symptom, but it is really unusual for me to have this. I usually sleep with about 3 blankets and last night, for example, I could only sleep with one and I had to have the window open, and I still woke up sweating.
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but I am so nervous right now that I can't even focus on my homework. I just want some possible answers.
For those of you who have lymphoma, were your lymph nodes swollen in multiple areas of your body or mostly just one? I can't really find any information on this. Any other information you have relating to lymphoma would be greatly appreciated.
