Menopause at 43? - Menopause Message Board

Hello....
I am 43...I missed 2 periods....could this be menopause?
I hope I am not pregnant!!!!
I have choking feelings....feeling sick...can you help me...has anyone just ever stopped having periods right a way...

I've just turned 40 and have also missed 2 periods when they were always regular. I thought I may be pregnant (not, thank goodness). Go to doc and get blood tests. Mine show I am not ovulating but all other hormone levels good so its not menopause. I'm waiting results of further tests now. I'm feeling sick and having headaches and now found enlarged glands. Don't put off not getting tests done.

I feel so sad that I posted on this board but I just did not know for sure what was happening with me...but I was pregnant!....and just when we were all accepting this and thinking of names I had to have a D&C...I was between 8 and 9 weeks pregnant...just so sad that I even said I hope I wasn't pregnant...now I just wish all had gone well.

I am so sorry for you loss. I hope you are feeling better.

Please don't feel bad that you posted here. You did not know what was happening to you. And, you are welcome to stay if all this menopause talk interests you. There are some great people here and we could all be friends.
